CELOTTI WORKFORCE is seeking a Site Engineer for a full-time contract opportunity to join a well-established, QLD-based resource provider delivering a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in North Brisbane, Queensland. About the Project This project forms part of a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) within an integrated renewable energy and infrastructure precinct in North Brisbane, Queensland. Following the successful delivery of Stage 1 works, completed safely, on schedule, and with zero LTIs, the project has now progressed to Stage 2. This phase includes the full construction scope, covering civil earthworks, cabling infrastructure, and HV/LV/DC integration. About the Role: As the Site Engineer (Civil) , you will play a key role in delivering the civil earthworks package for Stage 2 of the project. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include: Managing civil earthworks including excavation, trenching, batching, backfilling, and reinstatement Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and Australian standards Providing technical input on constructability, sequencing, and site-specific solutions Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to meet program requirements Liaising with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil works with HV, LV, and DC systems Participating in site meetings, progress reviews, and safety briefings Maintaining accurate site records, as-built documentation, and QA records Supporting testing and commissioning of civil interfaces including trenching and earthing systems This is a site-based role, well suited to an engineer looking to build experience on a nationally significant energy infrastructure project. Our Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ experience in civil construction, ideally within infrastructure or energy projects Strong experience across earthworks, trenching, roadworks, or services / utility installations Understanding of QA systems, construction documentation, and reporting Knowledge of Australian civil and electrical construction standards. Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Current construction white card and valid Queensland driver's license. Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations Ability to effectively liaise with Foremen, site teams, subcontractors, and engineers A proactive approach and willingness to work within multidisciplinary teams Experience on renewable energy, utilities, substations, BESS, or infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
